Encouraging Word:

Strength in Our Weakness

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Sometimes I think we take on this false responsibility of feeling like we have to be consistently strong. We can even begin to think that weaknesses are a lack of faith, but the truth is, God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses!

We don’t have to be ashamed of our shortcomings or upset that we can’t always keep it together. Instead, we can rejoice over the fact that God offers us the gift of relying on His strength and not our own. Truly, the sooner we realize we can’t do it alone, the better off we will be because we’ll rely on HIM alone.

Homecoming is THIS Sunday!!! We will serve lunch up on the mezzanine after both services!

How can you help?

  1. Drop a Boston Butt by the Office on Friday 4:00 pm-6:00 pm

  2. Meet up on the Mezzanine at 6:30 pm on Saturday night to help set up

  3. Welcome guests as they come up to get their lunch on Sunday

  4. Stay and help take down/clean up after Homecoming
