Grow Your Muscles
" Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose." Psalm 25:12 (NLT)
We have to make decisions everyday and most of them can be easy. Whether or not to have one more cup of coffee. What book to read next. What to eat. How to spend our time. And still, we feel completely paralyzed by the number of decisions we have to make in a day sometimes.
It may sound strange, but sometimes we avoid making big decisions because we spend too much time on the small ones like coffee and books. I’ve learned the hard way that failing to make the important decisions can keep me from fulfilling all of God’s plans for my life.
Get off the fence. Oftentimes we choose to sit on the fence because we know a decision will be extra hard or even painful. Don’t let fear of hard things keep you from making the right decisions. God will have your back through it all.
Trust God's guidance. Psalm 25:12 promises us that God will instruct us in the choices and decisions we make. Let that promise give you peace as you make decisions - even difficult ones.
Get moving. Procrastination has kept many of us from walking through doors of opportunity God has flung wide open. Sometimes we’re waiting to hear from God while He’s waiting for us to take hold of what He has already told us and take the next step before He opens or closes a door.
Let's make this a decision-making muscles week!
